In 1994, VRA became one of just few clubs on the European mainland to have a professional grass square (10 pitches). In the years since it has successfully proven its high level of playing quality. A practice square with 10 pitches and nets and also a dedicated cricket indoor hall with 3 pitches and nets complete the facilities. VRA often is the home base for international top level matches, for example:

2022 – Three ODI's for WC qualification series: Nederlands vs England.

VRA regains the ODI world record: England scores 498 v 4 in 50 overs. Three English batsmen score a century each.. Jos Buttler, who finished on 162 not out, reached his century in just 47 balls. 8000 supporters (most of them British) enjoyed a day of spectacular cricket in tropical conditions at our beautiful ground in the Amsterdam forest.

2022 – Three ODI's for WC qualification series: Netherlands vs West Indies.

2013 – The Netherlands vs South Africa: Friendly One Day International (ODI)

2013 – The Netherlands vs Ireland: Two ODI matches for the WC qualification rounds.

2009 – The Netherlands vs Afghanistan: Friendly ODI match.

2006 – The Netherlands vs Sri Lanka: Two ODI matches.

On the first day of play, Sri Lanka broke the world record for the highest one day international total with 443 runs. Jayasuriya (157) and Dilshan (117) laid the foundations for this monster score.

2004 - Videocon Cup: a three-day three-country tournament between Australia, India and Pakistan, drawing tens of thousands of supporters.

1999 – South Africa vs Kenya, World Cup match

Many thousands of spectators from across Europe visit these events to support their sports heroes and the international media descend on VRA, reporting and broadcasting the matches to a worldwide audience.

India cricket day The India Cricket Day is an event that regularly takes place at VRA. It is a great day of cricket for Indian employees of companies in and around Amsterdam, organised by "Amsterdam in Business" (the cities in the Amsterdam region).
