Seniors
Cricket at VRA means playing and training and enjoying quality leisure time at one of the most beautiful sports complexes of the Netherlands. Today, nine VRA senior teams play in the Dutch competition leagues. Naturally, VRA’s pride and joy is its first Men’s team that plays in the Dutch Topklasse. This team consists of talented players from the own youth department mixed with top-level players from all over the Dutch cricket world who came to join VRA, and foreign players who played a high level of cricket in their own country and now live in the Netherlands. VRA I includes a specially contracted player coach and a number of national team players.
Besides VRA I, there are four other Sunday teams who play at various levels in the league, ranging from ambitious and competitive to purely recreational. On Saturdays, three more Men’s teams play recreational cricket and the Ladies team plays in the highest national league. In other words, there is always a team to match your personal level of game and ambition. Most teams are a mix of players with different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. This is typical of Dutch cricket, and of VRA, situated as it is in the Dutch capital, in particular.
